I'm Ben and believe it or not im just your average gamer that's pissed
off and can't handle how unreliable Xbox 360's are. I didn't have the
time or the money to be waiting around for Microsoft to repair my problem.
There
customer support techie told me I would have to pay $140.00 plus
shipping and handling and wait 6-8 weeks until I could get my Xbox 360 back fully repaired.
At that point in time to save my poor little Xbox 360 from the E 74 Error I thought my only option was to pay Microsoft to fix it!
Coughing up $140.00 and then sending my Xbox to Microsoft just wasn't an option.
The problem was I wanted to get back up and running TODAY and save myself those $140 bucks for something like new Xbox games!
Like me you’ve probably tried
every trick in the book to get rid of the E 74 Error... For example:
Turning off your Xbox 360 and letting it cool.
Unplugging all the cords then reconnecting them.
Taking it apart and blowing some compressed air to clean the lint off.
Removing the hard drive.
And if you were desperate enough you might have even tried that stupid "TOWEL METHOD"
None of those methods work! I know I've tried them all.
What's Causing The Xbox 360 E 74 Error?
The root of the E 74 problem has been traced back to the Xbox 360's mother board, yup the green board inside your Xbox 360. It's caused by excess heat from either putting your Xbox 360 behind closed doors in your entertainment center or playing for hours...
The motherboard gets so hot that it actually starts to flex causing the solder connections to break lose with a connection to the GPU and CPU chips.
I
was spending way too much time looking the easy fixes and bullsh*t
guides that did nothing for me but again made me waste valuable game
time. Over and over again I bought guides that gave me:
- The towel trick
- The worst slap together guides you can think of - I spent more time trying to figure out what the pictures were trying to show me then fixing anything.
I was disappointed with everything I found on the internet. However luckily a few of my friends had the same problem and where in the same sh** boat
I was in. But they found a solution, a how to guide that actually worked and showed you step by step on how to fix your Xbox on the inside.
So I gave in and tried the guide. I found this guide to be very simple, and it helped me fix my Xbox e 74 error in a matter of 40 minutes.
If you want to get back to playing your Xbox 360 and never have to worry about the E 74 error again then you only have 1 option. Purchase a cheap and effective repair guide. You're saving over $120 bucks + 6 to 8 weeks of worrying if you'll actually get your Xbox 360 back fully repaired.
